Head of the education axis in the CominLabs Labex (www.cominlabs.ueb.eu) since 2013. In 2019, with the renewal of CominLabs, the name of the axis becomes "Articial intelligence and Education". Member of the editorial board of the journal Fundamenta Informaticae since 2014 and ad hoc editor of the Machine Learning Journal.

Prof Vijayaraghavan M Chariar is a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Prof Chariar’s basic training is in experimental materials science. Over the last two decades, he has worked on diverse areas such as Ecological Sanitation, Appropriate Housing, Design for Sustainability, Traditional Knowledge Systems, and Joyous Leadership. Prof Chariar uses an experiential and learner-centred approach in his pedagogy. He has inspired a large number of students to achieve their highest innate potential, several of whom have taken to entrepreneurship in the social sector. For his innovative pedagogy, Prof Chariar was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award by IIT Delhi in 2011. Prof Chariar taught and researched at Arizona State University as a Fulbrighter in 2012-2013. He is author of several patents, publications, technical manuals and design registrations on innovative technologies. Prof Chariar serves as Chairman of the IIT Delhi's much awarded sanitation start up Ekam Eco Solutions and also mentors several startups. He has been a sought after invited speaker by diverse academic, volunteering and corporate institutions on topics including sustainability, startups and self-discovery.

Prof. Farrokh holds the L. A. Comp Chair in the School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Farrokh received his B. Tech (Hons) degree in Naval Architecture in 1967 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1974. He has co-authored two textbooks, two monographs and more than 400 technical papers dealing with the integrated realization of materials, products and associated manufacturing processes, the design of mechanical, thermal and structural systems; ships and aircraft; engineered networks. Farrokh co-directs the Systems Realization Laboratory @ OU with his wife Professor Janet K. Allen in Industrial and Systems Engineering. The Allen-Mistree research focus is on collaboratively defining the emerging frontier for the "intelligent" decision-based realization of complex (cyber-physical-social) systems when the computational models are incomplete and inaccurate.

Davor Orlic is an MA graduate in Digital Humanities from the University College London, and co-founded VideoLectures.Net, a platform with 25.000 educational videos. He created OpeningupSlovenia, a national educational test bed, and established the UNESCO Chair in Open Technologies for OER and Open Education, as well as the UNESCO Chair in Artificial Intelligence. He is now managing the Knowledge 4 All Foundation with 60 global members. His work is at the intersection of research, technologies, policies and business innovation in Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Ankur Jain is working as Associate Professor at Natural Science Centre for Basic Research and Development, Hiroshima University, Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2007 from University of Rajasthan-Jaipur, India. He has been recipient of several prestigious fellowships and awards including ICTP-TRIL, Italy; DST Young Scientist Award, DST, India; Visiting Scientist Award under Indo-Swiss Joint research programme; JSPS-PDF, Japan; Young Scientist Award from young division of International Association of Hydrogen Energy, DST-INSPIRE Award, India. He has published more than 50 research papers in reputed Journals and authored 5 book chapters. He is serving as reviewer for more than 10 Internationals Journals and member of several societies.
